Reflection COMBO! number’s 1&2
I think the topic global warming is a really meaning topic. I really look forward to doing this documentry and paper. I usually wouldn’t but the subject is something that I always had an intrest in. When people bring up the subject of global warming I always had some things to say about it but I would love to be able to participate in the conversation more. I want to be able to teach and learn in the conversation. Im super excited. :] I really haven’t learned many things I thought I was going to learn. I wanted to learn about all the effects and the proven stuff and read all the statistics. But I have ended up with all these mismatched stories with one person saying that global warming is going to cause worse hurricanes and another person saying it will make hurricanes less frequent. All the information is so confusing and, at times, hard to follow. I was surprised to find out that people dont want to supprt causes trying to help global warming. If its something that will effect not only you but the whole world, it just doesnt make sense why people who have the power to help wont. I really dont even know what else we need, I dont really know what info we have. I dont know what the heck im looking for exactly. I have some info for other groups because everything is thrown together.

Corinne–
I’m glad you’re excited about our project–me too! I’m getting a little worried about our time left in the school year and how we are going to get it all together, but I have confidence you guys will make it happen.
I always feel good when I finally begin to understand the issues that people are talking about. I know you wanted to know more about Darfur, and I hope you take the opportunity later on to do at least a little research on the subject.
Some of the global issues that are attributed to climate change will definitely affect African countries and there may be more problems like we see in Darfur because of scarce resources. People fight more when there is not much to go around, particularly land that can sustain agriculture, water, and food.
Please go back and edit this entry–use standard English–I know we’re used to typing quickly for e-mails and texts, but this blog is for a wider audience and it is for English class. Thanks.
Watch “effect/affect”–I found one right and one wrong usage
The complexities of the issues do make it confusing, but that’s also what makes it interesting. Sally forth (that means keep going).
